After a few trial games, you’ll be ready to really sink your teeth into the Dominoes game and start playing for real money. In the post below, I will guide you through the rules before giving you some quick strategies that will help you win cash with Dominoes.
How to play Dominoes with Pocket7Games
Dominoes is a game where two players use a typical dominoes to score points. As with most other dominoes games, you create a string of stones that can go in a lot of different directions. With Pocket7Games Dominoes, you get points whenever the total sum of all ends (maximum of four) ends in a 5 or 0: 5, 10, 15, or 20. Whichever total you create equals the points you score.
In the Pocket7Games app, you are pitched against a computer-controlled opponent. Your human opponent in the game plays against the same opponent with the same starting tiles. Whoever scores the most points in the game wins the battle and takes home the cash (or tickets). A game can consist of multiple rounds, where each round ends when a player is out of tiles (a ‘domino’).
There are three moments to score points: first, on the table, where you place a tile that gets you 5, 10, 15 or 20 points. Once you’re out of tiles (and don’t have to draw any more), each tile that your opponent still has left also gives you 5 points per tile. Lastly, you get extra time bonus points for reaching 85 points or more within the three minutes.
Strategies to help you win real money with Dominoes
To help you get started on Dominoes and get a leg up on your opponent, let me show you all that I’ve learned when diving into the game. These strategies can’t improve your luck in the draw, but they might just give you the edge in your first Dominoes cash game.
- Watch when the AI draws
When your opponent (the computer in the game) needs to draw a tile, the game tells you where a problem. This is valuable information, because if nothing else, you can make sure ends up in the same position next turn.
- Focus on points over time
Yes, Dominoes is a timed game, and the time bonus can give you an edge over your human opponent, but you’re better off scoring points and getting rid of your tiles than going fast.
- If you can’t score, don’t let your opponent
There are three different ways to play: scoring points, blocking your or clearing your tiles. Each move, you’ll have to weigh the different options. Is your opponent low on tiles? Clear your own before blocking them. Can’t score points? Make sure that your opponent doesn’t get to 15 or 20 points, either.
